What Makes the Hyundai Sonata a Fantastic Compact Car?

There are a lot of things that make us proud to sell the Sonata at Perry Hyundai. It's affordable without sacrificing terrific features. When you compare it to other cars like the Kia K5, Toyota Camry and Honda Accord, it's easy to see why the Hyundai Sonata is so well-respected around Rusk TX.

The Hyundai Sonata Versus the Kia K5

  • Affordable cars don't have to feel like they were built last decade. Both the K5 and Hyundai Sonata have a ton of powerful technology. Some of the best of these take old ideas and bring them into the digital age. The Sonata has a 12.3-inch LCD instrument cluster available on all but the base trim, and it's standard on the highest trims. This allows you to customize its look and some of the information is shows you. Unfortunately, there's no sign of this feature on the Kia K5, leaving you with a static analog display.
  • If recent Lufkin winters have taught us anything, it's that it pays to always be prepared. The Sonata has heated front seats standard on all but its base trim. Warming up your legs and back might not seem like much, but it starts working faster than climate control and contributes heavily to cold weather comfort. The Kia K5 doesn't have heated front seats standard until its second-highest trim, the K5 EX. Without it, you'll have to wait for the climate control to warm up before you can get any relief.

The Hyundai Sonata Versus the Toyota Camry

  • The amount of space you have to stretch in a car is an important factor in relaxing on your drive home from Carthage. The Camry offers a respectable 100.4 cubic feet of passenger volume and ample leg, shoulder, head and hip room. The Sonata boosts almost all of these dimensions, though, gaining an extra four cubic feet of passenger volume. There's no concern of feeling cramped while driving through Center, TX in this compact car.
  • In the heat of summer and the cold of winter, keeping your car's temperature regulated is important. Dual-zone automatic climate control allows you to have excellent control over the cabin's climate, which is why it's standard across all but the base trim on the Sonata. The Toyota Camry doesn't have standard dual-zone climate control until its pricy XLE trim, which will make it more difficult to perfectly balance the temperature.

The Hyundai Sonata Versus the Honda Accord

  • Both the Sonata and Accord have eight-inch touchscreens and standard Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® on their lowest trims, but the Sonata offers premium entertainment options on higher trims. The Accord only has the eight-inch touchscreen, but the Sonata can upgrade to a 10.25-inch touchscreen with navigation and traffic flow as early as the Sonata SEL Plus. Its speaker system also caps out at a Bose® audio system with 12 speakers, while the Accord has a generic premium audio system with only 10 speakers.
  • One of the big reasons to choose the Hyundai Sonata over the Accord is the price. Base trims sit about a thousand dollars apart, and this discrepancy only grows with the higher trims. The Honda Accord Touring is several thousand dollars more than the highest trim on the Sonata, the Limited. If you're looking for a high-quality, affordable car, you'll want to keep this price-difference in mind and ask yourself if the Honda Accord is worth it.
